We popped in here after a movie. Just across the parking lot so very convenient. It was very busy but we got lucky and got seats at the bar. My first question before even getting drinks or food was, "Why isn't this down the street in my neighborhood"? Even with a packed bar and seating area service was quick. Drinks were good and food was delicious. We had Octopus and a pasta dish. The Octopus was perfect. The dinner menue looked extensively. Something for everyone. Next time we are in Dublin for a movie we will be stopping by before the movie and after. What the hell, we may skip the movie and just stay here.

Updating my review to comment on the excellent service we got from Amy! Amy was our server on our second visit to Market Tavern this past Saturday evening and she was phenomenal. We were seated in a different area this time, in a cozy back room with comfortable seating and lovely ambiance. It was slightly quieter than the front room, which I enjoyed. This time, I ordered the braised short ribs and they were so delicious! Highly recommend ordering them. Amy recommended The Dubliner (stout chocolate cake) for dessert and it was perfect - rich, chocolatey, and not overly sweet. I want to come back and try the pasta dishes and steak!

We tried Market Tavern on a friend's recommendation, and were not disappointed. Located right across the parking lot from the Dublin movie theater, Market Tavern is a good place to grab dinner and drinks before or after seeing a show. It was fairly busy on the night we were in, and I get the impression the place gets busy often, which is a good sign. Overhearing the conversations at the bar, it seems to be a place with local regulars, another good sign. We snagged seats at the bar, and even though they had their hands full, the bartenders were friendly and very personable. We ordered the octopus and the pasta, both of which were delicious. Cooking octopus properly is tricky; it often comes out tough and rubbery, but that was not the case here; it was tender and flavorful. The vibe was good, with happy customers and happy staff. We took our time, as we tend to do at places we enjoy, and were not rushed at all, even as it was getting close to closing time, which I appreciate. With food and service both on point, we will definitely return, and look forward to our next visit.

Came here on a Friday afternoon after shopping at the Livermore outlets with my mom and dog. This place is definitely very dog friendly and they even gave my dog a water bowl! For food we split a skirt steak, octopus starter and we got two drinks, the hibiscus soda and the alcoholic version of it. Skirt steak 2/5 We got this steak because many reviewers praised it but it was very underwhelming. I did appreciate that they split the steak into two plates upon hearing my mom and I would share the dish. I found this dish very salty and underwhelming. Octopus 5/5 Was soooooo soft and delicious. This was a wood grilled octopus with olives and a tomato sauce and it was our favorite dish! Drinks 5/5 - sooo yummy very refreshing and delicious. I love the hibiscus taste. Service 5/5 - the service here was amazing! They gave a water cup for my dog, they split the meal for my mom and I when they heard we are sharing and made it look nice. Everyone was very nice.

The tacos were delish, the runaway bride cocktail is my favorite here. The service was quick, they mixed our soup but fixed it right away. The squash soup was amazing soooo good! There's inside and outdoor seating. Large seating but it still gets crowded. This is one of my favorites in Dublin.

Came here for the first time for my mother in law's birthday. And boy what a find! I didn't realize that Market Tavern had so much fusion food, going off the name alone, I thought it was just a bar or something. Really pleasantly surprised with the caliber of food here. Our server was really top notch as well. She was jumping between different tables including a table of 10 and us. She had a very upbeat personality, very professional, and gave great recommendations. The deviled eggs were good, I could do without the jalapeños. The chicken tacos were good as well, funny that they had clothes pins on them though hah. My entree was the beef stroganoff. I've had stroganoff at other restaurant before and have been disappointed every time. But this time... Market Tavern broke the streak. I finally found a place that makes stroganoff correctly! The noodles are different than the regular spiral egg noodles, but I'm not at mad at it. Sauce was fantastic and not overpowered by too much sour cream, and meat was tender. What more could I ask for? Very very solid choice. Can't go wrong at Market Tavern. I need to come back and try their other items like the pork chop and the duck leg.

Was really blown away by this place! Everything we ordered was really delicious. Appetizers: Deviled Eggs - nice light bite - came with a piece of bacon and a pickles jalapeno Tacos - meat was so tender! They were also nice though to cut the tacos in half for our group of 6 Italian pizza - love a good wood fire thin crust pizza! Entrees Cavatelli lemon cream sauce pasta with spinach and mushrooms - this was good, but it wasn't a dish that makes you go "Wow!". Definitely would go with another dish instead if you want something memorable. Kurobuta pork chop - this was really good! Definitely think you can't go wrong with this choice. Skirt steak - pretty impressed with this too. Meat was tender and the mashed potatoes were so flavorful! Spicy fried chicken sandwich - this actually had a pretty good kick, but the sandwich was good and juicy. Dessert Creme brulee - the custard was a little more runny, but it still tasted amazing for my mom's b-day. All in all, service was really great. Our server Amy was really respectful and courteous. Only downside was how busy she was running around so it would take her a while to get back to us sometimes. Other than that, loved her as our server - super attentive.

The food here is pretty good. The service was excellent. They were able to accommodate our large group on short notice. I had a house salad with salmon. I also enjoyed the oysters and spicy chicken wings. We sat outside and the food came fairly fast. The portions were quite adequate. This evening was a birthday celebration and Market Tavern did not disappoint.
